Hi to everyone! I am writing you to make a fundraising project for a good cause.
As many of you know, I have been living in the Peruvian jungle during the last weeks. The community is very simple and humble, but there are some aspects that are not developed because of the lack of resources and not for free will.
An example is the school. During this time I have been giving classes to the five kids that attend to it. Their ages and their abilities are different, what creates differences among them and makes teaching even more difficult. The lessons tend to be repetitive and the only material they have to play during their free time are a ball and a jumping rope
When I took out my mobile phone they were amazed. They know what it is, but they simply don't have the opportunity to get one. If they are lucky, the dad of their family will have what most of us call “a prehistoric old-fashion Nokia cellphone”.
That's why I have decided to make a fundraiser to buy a computer for them. It will contribute to do the dynamism of their lessons, a new form to learn with didactic material and at the same time a new game, with the wide possibilities that it offers nowadays. The teacher loved the idea.
Since I was a kid I have seen wonderful projects to help people around the world. However, not always have I trusted that my donation was going to get to its destination. I personally promise to buy the computer and take it to the tribe at the beginning of August, which makes this a two - week project to get the money on time. I will contribute 30€ and another 40€ (the cost of the ticket to go back) for the cause. If the money that we raise at the end is not enough to buy the computer, I will buy a TV or other scholar material because it is needed in this amazing community.
